Barry Peton, our CEO, has farming and agriculture deeply rooted in his upbringing and identity. From an early age, he immersed himself in the industry, riding alongside his father as he sold seed and gaining firsthand experience in the field. Despite initially pursuing architecture, Barry’s true passion for agriculture led him to change his degree to Agronomy while at Iowa State University.
With a strong foundation in agronomy and a drive for continuous learning, Barry embarked on a career journey that included internships at Pioneer and work at the USDA corn labs. He joined Pioneer as an Account Manager Trainee, covering various regions and gaining valuable insights into large-scale farming operations. His dedication and expertise eventually led him to become a Soybean Seed Production Agronomist, contracting with growers to ensure high-quality soybeans.
Over the years, Barry held several roles with companies like Corteva and Syngenta, where he expanded his knowledge and experience across row crops and specialty crops. His role as an AgriEdge Specialist allowed him to provide agronomic and economic solutions to large growers in Indiana, solidifying his reputation as a trusted advisor in the industry.
Today, Barry brings his extensive background, passion for agriculture, and commitment to customer success as the CEO of our company. With his expertise and dedication, he strives to provide innovative solutions and drive growth in the agricultural sector.
